Just as every peak in Montafon has its own character, each of our Montafon mountain houses is unique.
Some guests call them chalets, some mountain huts or mountain houses, and others simply refer to them as vacation homes.
For us, they are our Montafon mountain houses, because they all share a feeling familiar to our guests from the Genießerhotel Montafoner Hof****.

We gladly admit it:
Without the mountains that surround us, our mountain lodges would only be half as beautiful. For us, the panorama is an everyday sight. It is only when we are away for a few days and return, that we realize how unique it all is. How precious must these views be for guests, who only visit us once or twice a year?

The ski mountains and the hiking panorama that surround us. Add to that the three towers, the Sulzfluh and the Gweilspitze – these are the striking features of our wonderful home. And right in the middle of it all are our mountain lodges, which have seen countless summers and winters over the centuries. Enjoy your summer and winter stay in one of our individual mountain houses, which offer every comfort… and if the kitchen does happen to remain “cold”, you are welcome to visit our 4-star Hotel Montafoner Hof or our traditional Gasthof Löwen and indulge in some culinary delights.

FAQ – Questions & Answers
► How do you reach your mountain house?
In summer, our mountain houses can be reached directly by car. In winter, access varies depending on the vacation home: some are accessible at this time of year by snow vehicle, a quad, which we provide for your stay. If necessary, you can obtain a driving permit on site. You will receive the exact arrival description and important information with your offer and/or booking confirmation. Parking facilities are also available – for a relaxed start to your break in the mountains.
► Are pets allowed in OUR mountain houses?
Yes! Our Waldhaus Rappakopf is pet-friendly. It’s ideal for holidays with a dog. Located directly on the edge of the forest, hikes start right from the front door. Plenty of space for two-legged and four-legged friends! Please indicate when making your enquiry and booking if you wish to travel with your dog. The other mountain houses are pet-free out of consideration for allergy sufferers. This way, we can find the perfect vacation home for your individual wishes – whether with or without a “furry” companion.
► Do the mountain houses also offer wellness options?
Some houses offer exclusive extras such as a wine cellar, a private sauna, or the use of the leisure and wellness area of the nearby Genießerhotel Montafoner Hof****. There you can book a soothing massage, and a steam bath, sauna, and fitness facilities, as well as an indoor and outdoor pool await you – ideal for relaxing after an active day in the mountains. Even without a spa in the vacation home, our mountain houses are true oases of well-being. Here, body, mind, and soul can relax! They are a retreat and offer peace amidst nature – perfect for couples, families, and friends seeking relaxation.
► How is the cleaning of the mountain houses handled?
All mountain houses are professionally cleaned by our housekeeping team before your arrival. The final cleaning fee depends on the number of guests. The beds are freshly made, and hand and shower towels (optional sauna towels) are ready upon your arrival. Please bring your bathrobe and bathing slippers – for the sake of the environment and sustainability. Upon request, you can, of course, also get them from us. Many of our houses also have a washing machine and dryer – ideal for longer stays or families with children. This way, you can enjoy your time out with maximum comfort and fully concentrate on your relaxation.
► What activities does the Montafon region offer?
Our Montafon mountain houses are the ideal starting point for outdoor adventures and enjoying nature. Hiking in Montafon, mountain biking, climbing, golfing, or tennis in summer – as well as skiing and ski tours, cross-country skiing, tobogganing, and snowshoeing in winter. The proximity to the Golm adventure mountain and the ski areas in Montafon makes our mountain houses particularly popular. Families also get their money’s worth on adventure hikes, in nature parks, and at swimming lakes. After an active day, return to your cozy, homely mountain house – your retreat with a view.
