Some guests call them chalets, some mountain huts or lodges, and others simply refer to them as vacation homes.

We’re happy to admit it:
Without the mountains that surround us, without the valleys of the Montafon and without the fascinating Alpine landscape, our Montafon mountain lodges would be only half as beautiful. For us, the panorama is an everyday sight. It’s only, when we’ve been away for a few days and come back, that we realize just how unique everything here is. How precious must these views and moments be then for our guests, who come to stay with us just once or twice a year?

The ski slopes and the hiking vistas that surround us. Add to that the three peaks—the Sulzfluh, the Zimba and the Gweilspitze—which are the defining landmarks of our wonderful home. And right in the middle of it all are our Montafon mountain lodges, which have weathered countless summers and winters over the centuries. FAQ – Questions & Answers
► How do you reach your mountain house?
All of our mountain lodges are accessible by car in the summer. In winter, access varies depending on the vacation home: some are accessible at this time of year by snow vehicle, a quad, which we provide for your stay. If necessary, you can obtain a driving permit on site. You will receive detailed directions and important information along with your quote and/or booking confirmation. Parking is also available—ensuring a relaxed start to your getaway in the Montafon mountains.
► Are pets allowed in OUR mountain houses?
Yes! Our Waldhaus Rappakopf is pet-friendly. It’s ideal for holidays with a dog. Located directly on the edge of the forest, hikes start right from the front door. Plenty of space for two-legged and four-legged friends! Please indicate when making your enquiry and booking if you wish to travel with your dog. The other mountain houses are pet-free out of consideration for allergy sufferers. This way, we can find the perfect vacation home for your individual wishes – whether with or without a “furry” companion.
► Do the mountain houses also offer wellness options?
Some of our cottages offer exclusive amenities such as a wine cellar, a private sauna, a hot tub, or access to the leisure and wellness facilities at the nearby Montafoner Hof**** luxury hotel. There, you can book a soothing massage and enjoy a steam room, sauna, fitness facilities, and indoor and outdoor pools—ideal for unwinding after an active day in the mountains. Even without a spa in the vacation home, our mountain cottages are true oases of well-being. Here, body, mind, and soul can recharge! They serve as a retreat and offer tranquility amidst nature—perfect for couples, families, and friends seeking relaxation.
► How is the cleaning of the mountain houses handled?
All mountain houses are professionally cleaned by our housekeeping team before your arrival. Die Höhe der Endreinigung ist abhängig vom Berghaus und/oder richtet sich nach der Anzahl der Gäste. Die Betten sind frisch bezogen und Hand- und Duschtücher (optional Saunatücher) liegen bei Ihrer Ankunft bereit. Ihren Badmantel und Ihre Badeschlappen bringen Sie bitte – der Umwelt zuliebe und im Sinne der Nachhaltigkeit – mit. Auf Anfrage erhalten Sie sie natürlich auch bei uns. Viele unserer Häuser verfügen zudem über Waschmaschine und Trockner – ideal für längere Aufenthalte oder Familien mit Kindern. So genießen Sie Ihre Auszeit mit maximalem Komfort und können sich ganz auf Ihre Erholung konzentrieren.
